READCON

The READCON at Shahala Middle School Library is a free community event for all ages that promotes literacy, sci-fi fantasy, and student Lego-building & robotics through many different activities and displays.

We support Library books, Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, Autism Awareness, & a local Diabetes camp as well.
Shahala Middle School Library has worked with 501st Cloud City Garrison in the past for our free community READCON Event to promote literacy, libraries, sci-fi fantasy, & student Lego-building and robotics, while raising funding for library books for kids, as well as local charities such as a children’s hospital, an autism awareness organization, and a local camp for children with diabetes.
